
Racial Graffiti
Racial slurs were found painted on the press box of the Sleepy Hollow High School bleachers. A caller reported the graffiti to Sleepy Hollow police on June 15 at 11:44 a.m. Officers confirmed there was white spray paint on the front and side of the press box.
Disorderly Conduct Arrest
Numerous calls for a fight in progress on Beekman Avenue on June 16 at 3:31 a.m. resulted in the arrest of a 24-year-old Tarrytown woman on a charge of disorderly conduct.
At 4:46 a.m., officers observed a disorderly group in front of headquarters and arrested a 27-year-old Sleepy Hollow man on a disorderly conduct charge as well.
Huge Crowd
Early in the morning on June 17, a woman reported hearing a loud group in Rockwood Park as she was leaving the Met-Life building. Police directed her to call Mt. Pleasant PD, and SHPD did the same. Mt. Pleasant said they would respond with four officers to remove a group of about 100 to 200 people from the park around 1 a.m. Two Sleepy Hollow units went to assist.
IPhone Sale Gone Wrong
A caller told police she was trying to sell her iPhone and the person she was making the transaction with took it without paying. The Cortlandt Street resident told police on June 18 at 1:44 p.m., who quickly located the suspect and made an arrest. They arrested a 19-year-old Sleepy Hollow teen on a charge of petty larceny.
GM Trespass
A caller reported to police that he had heard there were people in the GM lot, inside an old police vehicle on June 19 at 2:56 p.m. Officers sent and reported finding two 16-year-olds from Sleepy Hollow, who they took into headquarters and charged with trespassing.
On another occasion, an 18-year-old man was also arrested for trespassing in the GM lot on June 20 at 7:23 p.m. after police received a report of two youths skateboarding there.
Pedestrian Struck, Not Hurt
Sleepy Hollow police responded to a report of a pedestrian getting struck by a car at Depeyster Street on June 20 at 1:47 p.m.. Officers sent, along with ambulance, but the person refused medical attention. Accident report completed.
