Sleepy Hollow Prime Spot for Couples Historic Getaway

The Westchester village topped CBS New York’s recent list of “The 5 Best History-Inspired Summer Vacations for Couples," beating out the Adirondacks, Niagra Falls, Sackets Harbor and North Folk Long Island. 

The village was recognized for its historical roots as the home and final resting place of the famed author Washington Irving, as well as the setting for the classic American fictional tale of  “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.” 

Its cozy restaurants, beautiful gardens and abundance of art—ike the sculpture of Kykuit—make it the perfect summer escape for lovers. CBS New York also boasts of the sprawling six-story mansion at Rockafeller’s estate that was home to four generations of the Rockerfeller family.
