Sleepy Hollow Shines at 2025 Metro Awards

The Public Schools of the Tarrytowns

Sleepy Hollow High School's musical production of Mamma Mia! earned center stage recognition at the 2025 Metro Awards, held on June 2 at the Purchase Performing Arts Center. With four nominations and multiple standout performances, SHHS students demonstrated remarkable talent both on and off the stage.

The evening’s biggest honor went to senior Madeleine Galloway, who received the Metro Award for Student Technical Achievement. Madeleine designed and constructed the show's costumes in collaboration with a professional seamstress. Her creativity and craftsmanship not only earned her this top honor, but also recognition as one of three "Emerging Costume Designers" at the 2025 Roger Rees Awards, held earlier this spring at Symphony Space in Manhattan.

“I am incredibly honored to have won this award,” Madeleine shared. “A great deal of the credit is due to our amazing director, Natalie, and the cast members who truly brought the costumes to life on stage. I’m grateful for the opportunities and strong support Sleepy Hollow has given me.”
