Sleepy Hollow Trustee Candidates To Appear In Virtual Forum

While there will be no audience participation, questions can be submitted ahead of time.

SLEEPY HOLLOW, NY — A virtual Candidate Forum for the trustee race in the village of Sleepy Hollow will be presented by the League of Women Voters of the Rivertowns.

There are six candidates running for three open trustee positions in Sleepy Hollow for the Tuesday, March 19 election.

Incumbents Lauren Connell and Patrick Sheeran are running on the Transparent Accountable Government line. James McGovern, James Husselbee and Matthew Presseau are running on the Unite Sleepy Hollow line and Charles Zekus is running on the We the People line.

The forum will be a Zoom webinar from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday, March 11.

Organizers said there will be no audience participation. Questions must be submitted ahead of time either at registration or by email. The deadline for submitting questions in Saturday, March 9.

Questions will be vetted by a committee of league members who will submit them to the moderator prior to the start of the forum.

The league is partnering with Disability Rights New York to provide live American Sign Language interpretation. There will also be live Spanish translation.

The forum will be recorded and made available on the league’s YouTube channel, Facebook page and the LWV Rivertowns website.
