Sleepy Hollow Village Elections To Be Held Tuesday

The race for mayor is contested.

SLEEPY HOLLOW, NY — Voters in the village of Sleepy Hollow will be going to the polls to choose a mayor Tuesday.

Incumbent Mayor Key Wray is running on the Unite Sleepy Hollow line. He is being challenged by Martin Rutyna, who is running on the Transparent and Accountable Government line.

Three village trustees positions are up for election. Incumbents Thomas A. Andruss, Jared T. Rodriguez and Denise L. Scaglione are running unopposed on the Unite Sleepy Hollow Party line.

Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Absentee ballot deadlines are:

  • Monday is the last day for an applicant or agent to apply in person at the Board of Elections for the General Village/Special Election absentee ballot.
  • Tuesday is the last day to postmark the General Village/Special Election absentee ballot by mail. The ballot must be received by the Board of Elections no later than March 28.
  • Tuesday is the last day to deliver the General Village/Special Election absentee ballot in person to the Board of Elections or at any poll site throughout the county, by the close of the polls on election day.
