Is breaking glass a sound you hear outside your window in these warmer nights?
Two Sleepy Hollow police officers, while driving north on Cortlandt Street at midnight one recent night, said they heard the sound of glass breaking in front of one building.
An officer said she saw one person standing with an open bottle of Heineken beer. He was issued a summons for an open container and told to clean the broken glass in front of his property, to which he allegedly declined.
"No," he said, according to the police report, "write me the ticket." He was reportedly cursing and "very rude," said police.
He was then issued a littering ticket for broken glass in front of his property as well as his open container summons.
