Special Election For County District 12 Set For Tuesday
Polls in District 12 will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

RIVERTOWNS, NY — A special election to fill a vacancy in the Westchester Board of Legislators will be held Tuesday.
The vacancy in the 12th County Legislative District happened when MaryJane Shimsky was elected to the state Assembly.
The district is comprised of the villages of Ardsley, Dobbs Ferry, Hastings-on-Hudson and Irvington and parts of unincorporated Greenburgh, including Edgemont and Hartsdale.

David Imamura is running unopposed for the position.
The Board of Legislators that the winner of the election will be seated immediately to serve the remainder of the 2022-23 legislative term. However, the winner must run again later in the year to retain the seat.

Polls in the 12th District will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
Monday is the last day for an applicant or agent to apply in person at the Board of Elections for the special election absentee ballot.
Tuesday is the last day to postmark a special election absentee ballot by mail. The ballot must be received by the Board of Elections no later than March 7.
Tuesday is also the last day to deliver the special election absentee ballot in person to the Board of Elections or at any poll site throughout the county, by the close of the polls on election day.
