Tarrytown Police Arrest Alleged Tire Thief

Following the October theft of 10 used tires from the back of Tarrytown's Mavis Tire, police now arrested one of two suspects.

Police made one arrest in the case of multiple tires being stolen from Mavis Tire on 400 South Broadway on October 21.

Police at the time received a report that 10 used tires had been taken from the back storage shed of the tire business. Detectives, through the investigation of surveillance tapes, were able to track down one of two suspects.

They arrested Norman Nesmith, 54, of the Bronx, on January 2 at 12:30 p.m. and charged him with petit larceny with a court date.
