
Tree Question
A caller to Tarrytown Police on June 15 at 9:32 a.m. reported a tree being cut down on Leroy Avenue that they wanted to make sure had the proper permitting. An officer reported that the actual location was Birch Way and the Arborist Inc. company out of Hopewell Junction was indeed permitted with the village for the removal of three trees.

Family Dispute, Arrest, Mess
Police received a 911 call transferred from state police for a verbal dispute in progress between a brother and sister at Carrollwood Drive on June 16 at 1:30 a.m.
Officers arrested a man there for disorderly conduct after he allegedly was yelling obscenities and causing alarm and annoyance for nearby residents.
Before he was released from police headquarters later that morning with a court date, he apparently urinated on himself while sleeping in the holding cell. Police said urine had leaked onto the mat, blanket and floor. Officers attempted to have the defendant put on prisoner coveralls but were unsuccessful due to the man's apparent level of intoxication. Officers cleaned the cell with bleach and disposed of any soiled materials.
South Broadway Vacation Theft
A South Broadway apartment tenant reported to police on June 17 at 5:45 p.m. that she had been away for a few days and returned home to find some of her clothing, jewelry and her television set were missing.
She also said that she had two friends who she just met living at her residence and wanted to check with them before pursuing the matter.
Later that night, she said the two friends were back and asked if police could return. Officers interviewed the friends and found that one man had an active warrant for his arrest out of White Plains. He was taken to headquarters, but the complainant only wished a blotter entry at this time for this incident.
Two Bad Letters
A person came into headquarters to report damage to his car on White Plains Road on June 19 at 7:32 p.m. The 2004 Honda Accord, while parked at his residence sometime overnight the night prior, had been spray-painted on the front license plate and now had the letters 'F U' on the rear trunk lid. Police noted the incident for the record at this time.
