Tarrytown Woman Charged with DWI

Sleepy Hollow police arrested a 49-year-old Tarrytown woman on DWI charge after she allegedly knocked over a village parking sign.

A Tarrytown woman was arrested and charged with DWI after driving into and knocking over a village parking sign on Howard Street, Sleepy Hollow Police report.

Police received a call that someone had knocked over the sign on Jan. 12 at 4:20 p.m.

Officers then reported the arrest of a 49-year-old Tarrytown woman for driving while intoxicated. Police gave her a breathalyzer test which gave a reading of a blood alcohol count of .16 (.08 or more being an offense).

Police placed a cone over the broken base of the sign, took pictures of the damage, and contacted DPW Supervisor Richard Gross for repair.
