Teen Fiction Writing Course Offered via Zoom
Author and instructor Tina Tocco will teach a small, specialized class online for the Hudson Valley Writers Center

The Hudson Valley Writers Center is thrilled to present a fiction-writing workshop for teens. It will meet on five Sundays via Zoom starting on Sunday February 13. It will be taught by author Tina Tocco.
Said one parent of a returning student, M.S., "Tina provides an excellent balance between respecting and nurturing children's imaginations and providing enough support so that they develop into strong, confident writers."
Do you love to write fiction? Would you like to generate new work week after week? Would it be helpful to get feedback from other teens who love and understand writing just as much as you?

In this five-week workshop, you’ll use all sorts of prompts — music, images, wacky situations — to create new stories. There’s no right or wrong here, just the fun of diving into a world of words. You’ll receive positive feedback, so you can take what you produce in class and confidently improve your creative writing outside of class, both for your own projects and in school. We’ll also talk about the writing process, books, and any other word-related things that come into your mind. No judgment. No homework. Just writing.
This class series is also ideal for students who want or need a creative writing boost as they continue to navigate the return to in-person learning.
This workshop will be taught via Zoom. Please email admin@writerscenter.org with any questions. If your teen cannot attend the first session, please email and we can pro-rate the session for you.
