Writing Found in School: 'A Good Day to Die'

On Dec. 18 at 8:05 a.m., an officer doing an inspection of Washington Irving elementary school spoke with the principal who told him of a disturbing statement written on a dry erase board at a time in the wake of Newtown's massacre when everyone is on alert.

Principal Dr. Debbie Hand said that at some point between the end of school the day prior and the start of school on this day, an unknown person wrote “Today is a good day to die” on the dry erase board in room two of the school.

Police filed a case for the incident under further investigation.
