14-Year-Old Bicyclist Killed, Struck By Car In Setauket: Police

The teen was struck on Wireless Road, police say.

SETAUKET, NY — A 14-year-old is dead, after they were struck by a car while bicyling in Setauket on Thursday, Suffolk County Police said.

The driver of a 2015 Dodge Charger was traveling westbound on Route 347 at Wireless Road when the vehicle struck Qamat Shah, of Setauket, police said.

Shah was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said. The driver of the Dodge and their passenger were not injured.

The Dodge was impounded for a safety check. Detectives are asking anyone with information to call the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652.
