26-Year-Old Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash
It's the fourth fatal motorcycle crash in less than two weeks in Suffolk County.

CENTEREACH, NY – A 26-year-old man was killed in a crash between a motorcycle and a Jeep in Centereach Monday night, police said. Steven Benjamin is the fourth motorcyclist to die on Suffolk County roads over the past two weeks.
According to Suffolk Police, Benjamin was riding a 2004 KTM motorcycle west on Middle Country Road when he collided with a 2010 Jeep Liberty that had been traveling eastbound on Middle Country Road and was making a left turn onto Eastwood Boulevard at about 8:05 p.m.
Benjamin, of Selden, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the Jeep, a 17-year-old female from Selden, remained at the scene and was not injured.

The motorcycle and the Jeep were impounded for safety checks. Detectives are asking anyone with information about this incident to call the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652.
