5 People Injured In Setauket House Fire: Police

SETAUKET, NY — Five people were injured in a Setauket house fire on Tuesday morning, Suffolk County Police said.

The fire broke out around 1 a.m. at a Franko Lane residence. Five residents of the house were taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of not life-threatening injuries, police said.

The home was completely engulfed and burned to the ground, leaving just a fireplace and a bare foundation.

The Setauket Fire Department arrived at the scene and extinguished the blaze.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, but officials say it does not appear to be suspicious at this time.
