#66 – Have a Sunset Picnic at West Meadow Beach

Westward facing beaches are perfect for watching sunsets.

Even as summer winds down, you can still catch breaktaking sunsets at West Meadow Beach. When the temperature cools a little as the sun goes down, it's a perfect setting for a sunset picnic at the beach.

Step 1: Find out what time sunset will take place by checking Patch's weekly tidal chart or visiting sunrisesunset.com. Keep in mind the park closes at dusk.

Step 2: Grab a blanket or beach chairs, and pick up your dinner of choice.

Step 3: Head down to the beach, where you'll likely have little to no trouble finding a parking spot that late in the day.

Step 4: Settle in and dig in to your meal while appreciating the sunset view. Watch out for the seagulls, though. They'll stare you down and wait for a chance to steal your meal, but it's not a good idea to feed the wildlife.
