Aug. 1: Free Movie Night Moved to Tuesday

Family movie event at LaValle Stadium was originally set for Monday evening.

1. Both before and after the Origami Festival on Wednesday, – an exhibition of origami artists' paper sculpture representations of Stony Brook University's Wang Center itself – will be on display. While you're there, catch a folding lesson on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday between 12 and 1 p.m.

2. The Seawolves' at LaValle Stadium is now set for Tuesday, Aug. 2. Despicable Me will be shown on the stadium's jumbo video board. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.; bring your own blankets or lawn chairs to sit on.

3. Three Village has no shortage of college-bound athletic talent. For those who are interested, there's a seminar on set for Monday at 7 p.m. in East Setauket.
