A man grabbed a woman from behind, threw her to the ground and stole her purse on Quaker Path in Setauket on July 1, according to a Suffolk County police report.
The robber, who is described as a black man with a thin build and a bald head, allegedly fled south on Quaker Path after the robbery.
The victim's purse contained cash, credit cards and her driver's license. A police spokesperson did not say whether she was injured during the robbery, which occurred at about 9:30 p.m.
