Yoko Ono's Imagine Peace

"Imagine Peace" is the New York premiere of a chronological presentation of the work of Yoko Ono and John Lennon, both as solo artists and as a couple in the 1960s, featuring their Year of Peace. The realm of peace and love is the central theme of the multimedia exhibit, which encourages visitors to help spread the message worldwide.

Gallery Hours (free admission):

  • Tuesday through Friday, 12 p.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Saturday, 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.

  • “Yoko Ono: Imagining Peace 1966 – 2011” – Given by Dr. Kevin Concannon, Professor of Art History and Director, School of Visual Arts at Virginia Tech, at 1 p.m. on Sept. 6.
  • “Instructions for Life: Yoko Ono and Fluxus” – Given by Dr. Midori Yoshimoto, Gallery Director and Associate Professor of Art History at Jersey City University, at 1 p.m. on Oct. 5.

Closing Night Concert: The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger, the duo of Sean Lennon and Charlotte Kemp Muhl, showcasing their love for and vibrant arrangements of 1960s folk pop. Tickets: $34 (available at the box office, by calling the Staller Center at 631-632-ARTS, or online at stallercenter.com).
