Former NY Knicks Scout Lenny Ginsberg Talks With Patch AM
The Long Islander, who also coached at Stony Brook University, spoke about what made the 1970 championship team so special.

STONY BROOK, NY — Plainview resident Lenny Ginsberg talked with Patch AM's Jerry Barmash this morning about his experiences as a scout for the New York Knicks in the 70s.
Ginsberg, who lives at the Chelsea Senior Living Complex, recalled how at Stony Brook University, he worked with Coach Herb Brown who later went on to become a coach for the Detroit Pistons.
He was teaching at a camp in Keeyuma, Pennsylvania, where the Knicks would visit and take part in basketball clinics with the children, when he met Coach Red Holzman. Ginsberg was asked to show Holzman around and take him to Monticello Raceway and over the next five days, he helped him with the children.
