LI Museum Phaeton Carriage to be Replicated for Williamsburg
Carriage dates back to the 18th century.

A phaeton carriage at the , which dates back to the Revolutionary War era, is set to be replicated for display at colonial Williamsburg, according to a report in the Village Times Herald.
The carriage is reported to have been owned by the grandson of author Herman Melville. Harley Chandler, who will create the replication, recently visited the Long Island Museum to photograph and measure the phaeton.
