Question of the Day: How Do You Feel About the Campus Hotel?

A new hotel being built on the campus of Stony Brook University is slated to open in the fall of 2012. The Hilton Garden Inn will offer guests amenities like an indoor pool, meeting space, a convenience store, and more in the five-story, 135-room hotel.

The university has said there is a need for a hotel on campus, which sees more than half a million visitors each year. But student groups and a local environmental group were among those who opposed the hotel, which became the focus of a lawsuit.
