Renaissance Technologies Finishes Strong in 2011
East Setauket-based hedge fund company was a top performer among hedge funds last year.
A Renaissance Technologies hedge fun topped the list of best-performing hedge funds in 2011, according to a report on the financial news website FIN Alternatives.
Despite a year that saw hedge fund values decrease by an average of 4 percent, that RenTech fund reported a 34.66 percent gain in 2011.
