  1. Are you a jazz lover and looking forward to hearing good music? The Jazz Loft announces its December line-up. The plays will take place at 275 Christian Ave., Stony Brook. To access the following events in December — click on the link. (TBRNews)
  2. Stony Brook University workers held their Rally for Respect and Fair Wages on Nov. 17, in front of the school’s Administration Building. Andrew Solar, UUP Stony Brook chapter president, said in a phone interview that the rally had a turnout of nearly 200 people. SBLC represents 10,000 members. The union chapters were joined by the Long Island Federation of Labor and the Building and Construction Trades Council of Nassau and Suffolk. Members from the two latter labor unions have been standing outside on Nicolls Road the last few weeks. (TBRNews)
  3. Three Village Chamber of Commerce made the registration form for its Holiday Party available on their website. The event will be held at Mario's Restaurant in East Setauket on Thursday, Dec. 9, at 6 p.m. For more details and to register, click on the link. (Three Village Chamber)
  4. Anthony Roberts certainly made his Stony Brook home debut as memorable as possible on Monday night. With the score tied in the final seconds against Sacred Heart, guard Jahlil Jenkins found backcourt mate Roberts open on the right wing. Roberts pulled up without hesitation from about three feet beyond the three-point line and sank the buzzer-beater to give Stony Brook an exhilarating 75-72 non-conference victory — its first win of the season.
