Sears Holdings to Close at Least 100 Stores

Poor holiday sales may lead to the closure of between 100 and 120 Sears and Kmart stores, according to a report published Tuesday in CNN Money.

No decision has been made yet regarding which stores it will close; the company has Sears and Sears Hardware locations in Lake Grove and Port Jefferson Station.

Sears Holdings said it is based on a 6 percent drop in sales at domestic Sears locations and a 4.4 percent slide in sales at Kmart.
