Sidewalks To Safety T-Shirt Design Contest Winners Honored

The charitable organization is dedicated to improving the safety of Three Village roads.

On April 12, Supervisor Ed Romaine (center, left) and Councilmember Jonathan Kornreich (center, right) visited the North Country Administration Center in Stony Brook to announce the winners of the 2023 T-Shirt Design Competition. “Sidewalks for Safety” is a charitable organization dedicated to improving the safety of Three Village roads for the benefit of walkers, runners, cyclists and drivers. In addition, the organization hosts various competitions throughout the year promote pedestrian safety. Winners of the Sidewalks for Safety collaborated with Ward Melville High School to organize a T-Shirt Design Competition.

“Sidewalks for Safety” will hold a Mother’s Day 5K Run/Walk on Sunday May 14 (rain or shine), starting at 9:30 am at Sand Street Beach in Stony Brook. The race will end at the Long Island Museum. To register for the race, go to www.events.elitefeats.com/23sidewalks.
