Strong Family Lauded by National Weather Service

Four generations have collected weather data for more than 100 years.

The Strong family of Stamford, Conn. was recognized this week by the National Weather Service for its 127-year-old tradition of collecting weather data at their house in Strong's Neck, according to a report in the Village Times Herald.

A NWS representative said Bill and Robin Strong and son Will, 19, received its Family Heritage Award, one of 25 families across the country to receive the award for collecting climatological data for at least 100 years continuously.
