The Dish: Tacos with a Twist at New Tex-Mex Eatery

East Coast Burrito Co. opened in mid-April.

East Coast Burrito Co. opened mid-April and the community took notice, lining up for lunch and dinner to try the new restaurant's offerings. Head over between the typical lunch and dinner hours to get quicker service, and try one or more of their tacos, each of which has a unique twist to set them apart from your typical fast food taco.

The Dish: Texas Taco ($3.95) and Da Lawng Island Shrimp Taco ($3.95)

What's Inside: The Texas Taco is a soft taco filled with Tex-Mex style pulled pork, salsa verde, fried onions, bacon and queso fresco; Da Lawng Island Taco is also a soft taco and comes with tequila shrimp, fried jalapeños, jalapeño havarti, black beans, sliced avocado and sour cream.

Eat This Because: You're tired of the same old tacos at other eateries. These are a fresh take on a typical Tex-Mex menu item. While you'll probably need to order more than one (or order a side dish such as guacamole with chips for $4.95) to fill you up, the benefit is you can try more than one taco in one sitting.

Side Dish: We're told a liquor license is on the way, so you'll soon be able to enjoy a margarita, sangria or beer with your tacos and burritos.
