The Week Ahead: Parent-Teacher Groups, Board of Education to Meet

Coming up this week: The school budget, community issues, weight loss and financial planning are all topics of discussion to be had at various Three Village events.

1. Several school organizations will meet this week: The Minnesauke PTA will meet at 7 p.m., and the Ward Melville PTSA will meet at 7 p.m., both on Monday. The Murphy PTO meeting will be Wednesday at 7 p.m., and the Setauket PTA meeting will be at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday.

2. The Board of Education will meet on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at Muprhy Junior High School to continue school budget discussions.

3. The Strong's Neck Civic Association will hold its regular monthly meeting at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Setauket Neighborhood House.

4. If you're looking to lose weight, there's a support group for you at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Setauket Tennis & Fitness.
