1. The 7th annual Chicken Hill Country Barbecue will happen this weekend! For those looking for an outing this weekend, The Three Village community is invited to the event that will be held on the grounds of the Bruce House at 148 Main St., Setauket, from 4 to 7 p.m. (TBR News Media)
   
2. The Arrowhead Elementary School had unique visitors this summer! The Setauket Fire Department visited the school to show off its fire trucks and teach the Three Village School District students about fire drill safety and what to do in emergencies. (Three Village School District)
   
3. About 19 roads are now repaved on North Route 347. According to Councilman Jonathan Kornreich, the $1.5 million paving project is completed. Residents and travelers can now enjoy smooth and safer roads in the area. (Patch)
4. Lauren Pazienza of Port Jefferson faces 25 years in prison if convicted for the death of a vocal coach, Barbara Maier Gustern. Pazienza pledges not guilty for pushing the 87-year-old teacher to the ground, resulting in severe injuries on Gustern's head and ultimately her death days later. (Port Jefferson Patch)
