- Film buffs have a lot to celebrate with the return of the Stony Brook Film Festival. Staller Center for the Arts will host the nine days of short plays and more from July 21-30. To access the schedule of events, visit stonybrookfilmfestival.com. (Stony Brook News)
- Local artists will showcase their talents on an Art Walk at the historic St. James Cultural Arts District. The event will be held at Lake Avenue between 2nd and 5th streets. Food and refreshments while strolling around the venue will be a plus. (Patch)
