1. The Three Village Historical Society will host a United States Flag Retirement Ceremony with a special guest, the director of the "Anna Smith Strong Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution," to guide the event in an interactive family-friendly way. The event celebrates Flag Day on June 14 at 5 p.m. (TVHS)
2. The vibrant Jazz Loft Big Band will play the blues on June 2 at 7 p.m. Jazz Loft founder Tom Manuel will perform with the 17-member band featuring lyrics and arrangements created by the band's members. (Patch)
3. Learn how to grow vegetables at the Emma Clark Memorial Library. Horticulturist Paul Levine will share tips and tricks about planting and collecting fresh produce from your property! The class is set for June 4 at 1 p.m. (ECML)
   
4. Saturday, June 4, is the day to support the "Strong Island Derby - Charity Event." Doors will open at 7 pm. at the Sports Arena in Centereach. A percentage of profits made at the event will be donated to the Strong Island Animal Rescue. (Patch events)
