- New Italian restaurant, Luca, takes on the vacant spot left by the Pentimento at 93 Main St. in Stony Brook Village Center. The new eatery is set to have its grand opening on Aug. 30. Dinner will be served Tuesday through Sunday. (TBR News Media)
- Summer isn't over yet! The Wind Down Sundays concert series will have its last concert blast on Aug. 28 at Frank Melville Memorial Park. The "One Step Ahead" band will start playing at 5:30 p.m. (Patch)
