- Three Village and downtown Port Jefferson celebrated George Washington’s spies in the Three Village area during the Revolutionary War. The Culper Spy Day hosted several cultural activities for all ages on Sept. 10. (TBR News Media)
- Saturday is "E-Waste and Metal Recycling" day at the Emma S. Clark Memorial Library. From 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., electronics and metal cluttering will be accepted in the parking lot. No registration is required. (Emma Clark Library)
- Students and staff in the Three Village Central School District celebrated Patriot Day on Sept. 9. The kids also honored the memory of those who lost their lives on 9/11. - Trevon Phidd from Connecticut was charged with two acts of terrorism for threatening the Bridgeport and Port Jefferson Ferry with a bomb on Wednesday. According to official reports, the call was made around noon, saying a bomb was going off on the boat, which resulted in the evacuation of the passengers. (Patch)
