Here are the top 5 stories today in Three Village:

  1. Memorial Day was memorable for the Setauket neighborhood and its surroundings with the parade that started on Main Street. The Scouts, volunteer firefighters, the Ward Melville High School marching band, and other groups marched in honor of those who sacrificed their lives serving in the U.S. military. The parade ended at the Setauket Veterans Memorial Park and followed a ceremony. Check out pictures of the event. (tbrnewsmedia)
  2. It's not too late to participate in the Stony Brook Village Spring BINGO. Games will run until June 15. Download your card here and start to collect all your receipts to fill your game sheet and win a special prize. (Stony Brook Village)
  3. Growing fruit and vegetables in container gardens are fun, and Emma S. Clark Memorial Library can help you develop that particular skill of growing your food! Horticulturist Paul Lavine will give tips on June 4 at 1 p.m. about growing tomatoes, peppers, strawberries, etc. (ECML)
  4. Three Village Historical Society released the schedule of events for June 2022. Many exciting things will be happening this month in our community, including the first annual Flag Day Ceremony that will be interactive and educative, especially for the children. (TVHS)
  5. Three Village School District has a call for the community to donate blood to help to reduce the blood shortage in New York State. The action comes after the New York Blood Center declared that blood supply had decreased drastically due to the COVID-19 pandemic. If you would like to donate, please call 1-800-933-2566 or visit nybc.org. (TVSD)
