1. Wind Down Sundays will have its last season concert on Aug. 28. The music plays at the historic Red Barn at the Frank Melville Par in Setauket at 5:30 p.m. Bring a blanket and food to picnic with family and friends. (Patch Events)
2. Dance it out at the Jazz Loft in Stony Brook on Wednesday, Aug. 24. The jazz concert and jam session will start at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 per person. (Patch)
3. Stony Brook Village will host Pop-Up Saturdays until Aug. 27. Bring the kiddos to enjoy the event that features animals, food, music, and more from 2 to 4 p.m. (Stony Brook Village)
4. Nearby News: Travis Dickson from Brooklyn was arrested for driving while intoxicated and provoking a car crash accident that seriously injured a 9-year-old boy on exit 63 on the LIE. Angel Salis, 9, was taken to Stony Book University Hospital. (News12)
