1. Three Village Historical Society is bringing a unique event in honor of celebrating Flag Day. For the first time, an annual US Flag Retirement Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, June 14 at 5 p.m. at 93 North Country Road, Setauket. (TBR News Media)
2. Treat dad to an afternoon of Jazz and Hors d’oeuvres/dessert reception at the Stony Brook Community Church on Sunday, June 19 at 3 p.m. Tickets are $20 per person ($10 for students); the church is located at 216 Christian Ave, Stony Brook. (Patch Events)

• Theatre Three has been providing good entertainment to our community since the late 1960s; its work is not just on stage but also hosting food drives to help keep the Infant Jesus Church food pantry full. This Sunday, from 9 a.m. to noon, the Theater will be hosting another drive of personal care items and food that can be donated at 110 Hawkins St. (off Myrtle Ave.) in Port Jefferson Village.
