- Stony Brook Village's Spring Appreciation Day is set for April 23! The event features live music, a scavenger hunt, raffles, and a petting zoo. The event is free to the public. The rain date is scheduled for April 24. (NYMP)
- Emma S. Clark Memorial Library will host an Active Shooter Survival Seminar on Saturday, April 23, at 12:30 p.m. The seminar will be presented by the Stony Brook University Police Department and will give a piece of brief historical information about incidents in the U.S. (ESCML)

- Nearby News: A 42-year-old Patchogue man was stabbed in a parking lot on Patchogue Main Street. The victim was transported to Stony Brook Hospital to be treated with severe injuries. That's the second time a person has been stabbed in Patchogue this week. (Patch)
