Here are the top 4 stories today in Three Village:
- Painting outdoors is among the most relaxing, creative, and joyful activities. Gallery North has hosted the annual Wet Paint Festival since 2004 when Long Island artists are invited to spend a couple of days in the historic and picturesque Sherwood-Jayne Farm on Old Post Road in East Setauket to showcase their talents while interacting with the public. The festival is set for June 4 and 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (TBR News Media)
- Emma S. Clark Memorial Library has a unique "Evening Book Discussion" for all book worms in the community on Wednesday, June 8 at 7:30 p.m. No registration is required to explore the "Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine" by Gail Honeyman, which tells the story of a loner who is recovering from the biggest tragedy of her life. (ESCP Library)
- Take a walk with historian Bev Tyler on June 5 at 11 a.m. and explore shipbuilding secrets in Setauket. Unique visits to the Dyer’s Neck-East Setauket and the carpenter shop are included. Other dates are also available. (Three Village Historical Society)
- After four decades serving the Port Jefferson community as the Mather Hospital president, Kenneth Roberts retired in May with a special ceremony. Under Roberts' leadership, the Mather is considered a highly rated hospital on Long Island. (TBR News Media)
