2. Jazz lovers can celebrate the return of the Douglas Elliman Summer Music Series. The Jazz Loft in Stony Brook will stage the festival featuring musicians Vince Giordano and the Nighthawks, John Pizzarelli, and Peter Cincotti. (TBR News Media)
3. Students Sofia Levorchick and Ava Tam cracked first and second places in the Long Island Author’s Group 2022 Literary Challenge. Participants wrote about an outdoor experience on Long Island using the five senses (seeing, hearing, smell, taste, and touch), required by the contest. A prize in cash was awarded. 4. Nearby News: A toddler was rescued from a backyard pool on Barbara Drive in Centereach. The 2-year-old boy was transported to Stony Brook Hospital in critical condition on June 14 after a 911 call was made. (Long Island News12)
