Tri-Harbor Ambulance District To Hold Vote On Volunteers' Pension Program

If passed, members with at least five years of service would receive $30 per month starting at age 60.

MOUNT SINAI, NY — The Tri-Harbor Ambulance District will hold a referendum vote Tuesday to raise the $20 per month pension for volunteers' pension to $30 as part of the Length of Service Award program.

It will take place at Port Jefferson EMS Headquarters 25 Crystal Brook Hollow Rd., Mount Sinai, from 2 to 8 p.m.

The LOSAP program provides a pension to volunteers based on their length of service with the ambulance company. Currently, members receive $20 per month for each year of service starting at age 65, but, if passed, the members with at least five years of service would receive $30 per month starting at age 60.
