Dead Man Found On UES Townhouse Roof: Police

An unidentified man was found dead Sunday night atop a Carnegie Hill roof, with injuries suggesting a fall, police said.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A man was found dead on the roof of a Carnegie Hill townhouse late Sunday night, according to police officials.

The man, who police said was still unidentified, was found on the roof of a building near East 85th Street and Lexington Avenue at about 11:15 p.m. Sunday night, according to officials.

Police sources told the New York Post that the man likely jumped from a neighboring 15-story condo building.

First responders declared the man dead at the scene, police said.

Officials told Patch that while the medical examiner has yet to determine the cause of death, preliminary investigations found the man's injuries did suggest that they were caused by a fall.

Police said that he investigation remains ongoing.
