Man Killed By Train At Upper East Side Subway Station: NYPD
A southbound 6 train struck and killed a man at about 8 a.m. Monday morning, according to officials.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A man was killed by a train at the 86 Street subway station Monday morning, officials said.
According to police, a man jumped onto the local downtown-bound tracks inside the Upper East Side station at about 8 a.m. as a 6 train was arriving and lay down on the train bed.
The conductor pulled the train's emergency brakes, but could not stop in time, police said.

First responders declared the unidentified man as dead at the scene, according to police.
