Man Stabbed Inside Upper East Side Apartment, Police Say

The victim was arguing with his attacker inside a first-floor apartment on York Avenue, police said.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A man was hospitalized early Friday morning after being stabbed inside an Upper East Side apartment during an argument, an NYPD spokesman said.

The 35-year-old victim was involved in a dispute with his attacker inside a first floor apartment of 1700 York Avenue when the stabbing occurred about 10 minutes after midnight, an NYPD spokesman said. The spokesman could not provide information about what the two men were arguing about.

Medics called to the scene took the victim to NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital for stab wounds to his left calf, police said. The man was in stable condition upon arrival at the hospital, an NYPD spokesman said.

Police have not identified or arrested a suspect, but the investigation into the stabbing is ongoing, an NYPD spokesman said.
