NEW YORK CITY – Fashion's biggest night out brought high glamour and couture to the Metropolitan Museum of Art at the Met Gala this week. Now the focus is on the show the event launches.

In America: A Lexicon of Fashion, opens to the public this Saturday in the Anna Wintour Costume Center wing.

The exhibit is the smaller first part to a two part series. It examines the theme of American fashion and how it's evolved over the decades. Rather than holding the theme to one specific definition, the Costume Institute aims to celebrate and explore American fashion and the different meanings it takes on. The exhibit will be on display until September 5, 2022.
