Plans Filed For 6-Story Upper East Side Apartment Building
The building will contain 3 large apartments and ground floor retail space.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Real estate developers have filed plans to build a 6-story apartment building on the Upper East Side, according to city records.
The development is set to rise 60 feet on 1299 Third Avenue, located between east located between East 74th and 75th streets, according to building plans. The new building will feature three large apartments, residential amenities and ground-floor retail space.
The apartment complex will contain 19,678 square feet of residential space, which means the average unit in the building will exceed 6,000 square feet. These measurements indicate that the residences will resemble townhouse-style luxury units. The ground-floor commercial space will be 1,249 square feet.

Demolition plans were filed for 1299 Third Avenue and its adjacent building 1297 Third Avenue earlier this month. The five-story buildings occupy a site where Premier Equities and Thor Equities plan to build a 30-story condominium development, the Real Deal reported in 2017.
Continental Ventures is also involved in the planned development, a spokesperson for the company said.

"The developer filed this six story building and intends to later incorporate air rights," said a statement from Continental Ventures.
The development firms bought the properties in January of 2017 for $26 million, according to public real estate records. The transaction was the last in a series of deals that gave Premier Equities control of 1291, 1293, 1295, 1297 and 1299 Third Ave., the Real Deal reported.
