UPPER WEST SIDE, NY - Three people, including two firefighters, were hospitalized following an Upper West Side apartment building fire early Friday morning, authorities said.

The blaze on the first floor of the pre-war rental building at 137 West 82 St. was first reported about 2:14 a.m., fire officials told Patch.

Medics rushed the three victims to Mount Sinai West for non-life threatening injuries, fire officials said.

The blaze was deemed under control about 2:54 a.m. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, fire officials said.

It was not immediately clear how much damage the building sustained. The five-story, 10-unit building was built around 1900 and offers a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom units, according to StreetEasy.
