2 Injured In Upper West Side Brownstone Blaze: FDNY

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A Sunday morning fire on the Upper West Side injured two people, sending one to a nearby hospital, officials said.

The fire broke out at a West 103rd Street building, between Broadway and West End Avenue, at about 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, FDNY officials said.

Roughly 60 firefighters and first responders rushed to the scene to battle the blaze, according to the department.

Firefighters rescued two injured people from the fire, the spokesperson said. One person was sent to the hospital for treatment, but their condition was not clear, according to officials.

By around 6:30, firefighters had the fire under control, the official said.

The cause of the blaze is still under investigation by the fire marshal, the department said.
