2 People Hurt In Upper West Side Fire: FDNY
A fire broke out early Thursday morning within a building on 70th Street off the corner of Columbus Avenue, FDNY said.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Multiple people were hospitalized after a fire broke out early Thursday morning on the Upper West Side, an FDNY spokesperson told Patch.
The blaze ignited within multiple units at 104 W. 70th St., off the corner of Columbus Avenue, about 2:15 a.m., FDNY said.
Firefighters were able to get the flames under control by 2:50 a.m., but two people were hurt and taken to NYPD Cornell Hospital, FDNY said.

The FDNY spokesperson did not specify the extent of the injuries.
The 104 W. 70th St. address is a mostly residential building with multiple businesses on its ground floor, including Icon Style and Epices Bakery.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
