UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A 68-year-old woman was pepper sprayed in the face after being told to "mind her business" on an Upper West Side train platform, police said.

The woman was standing on the West 66th Street 1 train platform about 3 p.m. on Monday — speaking to a group of women — when a different woman walked up to her and told her to "mind her business," police said.

The 68-year-old woman was reportedly calling out the group for jumping over the turnstiles, when the other woman approached her and called her a "Karen," before firing off the pepper spray, the Daily News reported.

"Karen" is used as a pejorative slang word for an entitled and angry white woman who is weaponizing her privilege against somebody else.
